Our Background

Josephine Tournebize Jewellery was established at The Red House Glass Cone in Stourbridge Since 2015.

The Business owner is French native, Josephine Tournebize from Paris who came in 2011 to study an Extended Diploma Level 3 in Art and Design Craft at the School of Jewellery in Birmingham.

There, she learned how to design and produce handcrafted jewellery pieces using traditional techniques and graduated with triple Distinctions in 2013.

Whilst still at University, Josephine was very interested in learning more about the longevity of a design and in developing her technical skills.

From 2012 to 2014 she worked as a bench jeweller for a local family jewellery repair business. The very valuable experience she gained stretched and developed her knowledge and practical skills further.

All together with university and employment, she showed eclectic knowledge to inform her design, practical and professional techniques, skills and built experience.

Her passion for jewellery and social cohesion lead her toward teaching. While working as a jewellery tutor for young adults with mixed abilities, she completed her PTTL'S Certificate in 2015 ( Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector ).

This amazing experience has given her the chance to understand that jewellery making is more than just a craft. It is an opportunity to express oneself, build confidence, develop social skills and so much more. It can also be perceived as an alternative to speaking therapy.

She created Josephine Tournebize Jewellery in 2015, to offer and share all her experiences combined in one place of business.
